Best Golf Instructional Videos Reviewed
We've compiled a brief review of the best golf instruction videos available online today. Golf video
instruction is quickly becoming the preferred choice of many amateur golfers for two reasons. Firstly, there is
no set time when you can learn from an instructional video. If you enroll for lessons, then there is a night or
two a week that you have to be available to attend your lesson. With video instruction the time is all up to
you. The second reason is the cost. For the price of one or two lessons you can purchase a complete library of
golf instructional videos covering everything from your drive to putting. So take a moment to review the
videos we're recommending, I have personally used these to lower my score, and increase my enjoyment in the
game of golf.
Golf instructional dvds
There are a couple of options for golf instructional videos, the first are dvds, the second is on demand or
online golf instructions. I prefer the dvds as I don't have to be on my computer to review the material, and
generally there are less chances of technical glitches with downloading, or slow playing video. The golf
instruction video series I used to improve my swing, short game, and putting is by the Pure Point Golf
Academy.
Pure Point has a five dvd
series that starts with the Full swing, and covers everything right down the fairway to your short game
and putting. The first dvd I used was the Full swing. If you struggle with a slice, hook or just can't
seem to get consistent at hitting your woods, and long irons this dvd is the best place to start. It
covers the complete golf mechanics of the swing in an easy to understand formula. In my opinion this is
the closest you can get to having a pro in your living room explaining how to grip the club, address the
ball, and swing. It's a step-by-step process that shows you one point of the golf swing, explains why you
do it that way, then reviews it before moving onto the next step. This dvd helped me straighten out my
driver, and build my confidence in all shots. If you're having difficulty with a slice or hook be sure to
check this one out.
Golf instruction putting and short game
The next two golf instruction dvds I purchased were those that covered the short game, and putting. Like
most golfers I often forget just how much of the game is from 100 yards into the green. I had spent a lot of
time perfecting my swing for my woods and long irons and was proud of it, how ever to lower my handicap further
I had to master the short game. Like the Full swing dvd described above, the next two videos were produced just
as well. I never really had any formal instruction on how to make a chip shot, or line up a putt. I had read
numerous articles on the Internet, as well as taken tips from other players and friends. How ever what I
learned in these two videos gave me a solid foundation and technique I could use every time. Let me tell you
knowing which club to grab, how to swing, and where to aim on those key chip shots gave my game a whole new
confidence. Again I recommend you start with the full swing dvd, but if you really want to perfect your game
it's worth the money and time to invest in all three of these videos.
Now for anyone reading this that's a lefty don't worry, while all of these golf swing videos we're talking
about are instructed by a right handed golfer it's not difficult to reverse these golf lessons so you get left handed golf instruction.
Golf fitness performance products
Now a different kind of golf instruction dvd that I had never given much thought to but after a talk with a
more senior golfer then myself after a round started researching is a golf fitness system. This game is all
about exact movements, stretching and strength. Now I'm not talking about body building strength, but having a
strong upper body, back and legs helps add power to your swing, and distance to your drives. I didn't believe
it at first myself, since everyone is always preaching how important it is to swing soft, let the club do the
work. It made sense how ever when it was brought to my attention how sore I was the day after a round, and how
I sometimes fatigued on the back 9. The solution was a golf fitness program by Mike Pederson, a golf fitness
training expert. I won't get into to much detail because his site is jam packed with it.
We've covered a lot of ground here about golf instructional videos and dvds. I'll have the links for the
above mentioned products at the bottom of this article but one more thing to mention. If you're skeptical about
whether instructional videos will work for you we offer some free golf video instruction in our weekly
newsletter. Each week we provide free online golf instruction videos from the resident pro at the Pure Point
Golf Academy. If you'd like to start receiving our weekly free newsletter you can sign up on the right hand
